Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–5 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (281) 933-8888. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 183 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded auto repair shops in Sugar Land.

Sugar Land is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sugar Land follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Edward is very knowledgeable and explains issues in simple terms. Breaks down repairs into necessary and what can be done later, no upsale. Prompt service with straight forward communication. I understand basic car mechanics. Nowadays, difficult to find a honest repair shop. My whole family and friends now go to Edward with no worries of being ripped-off.

When you want exactly what's done with your vehicle, this is the place! They don't try to upsell you or anything! This place is very busy! Make sure to get there early! I needed upper control arms replaced, fuel filter replacement, and transmission fluid drained and refilled. I dropped my car off in the morning and got it back the next morning. I thought I needed alignment after getting upper control arms replaced, but he said I'm good. If I needed alignment, he said I would need to get the lower control arms replaced too. I will definitely be back for future repairs. Good work, fair pricing, and honest mechanics are worth the wait! I had multiple quotes from mobile mechanics and it's about the same price. Some don't even service transmissions. You might as well go with this place that has more advanced equipment and an actual heavy duty professional car lift.

Edward was great! I was wanting to purchase a car but wanted someone to look it over first. He fit me in that day within 20 minutes of calling him. He did a wonderful thorough job and it was an extremely fair price. Very impressed with this place! Bonus the car checked out good 😊 Thanks Edward!!

Awesome service! He found out that my Subaru needed to replace the coolant valve. However he didn’t charge me. He asked me to bring it to Subaru because it’s still within the warranty period. Super honest and great customer service!!! And he didn’t even charge me for the diagnosis even though he spent time on it. I would go back!

My 2018 Honda Civic had no air conditioning, so I took it to Auto EMS. After the owner inspected the car, he immediately told me that it was still covered under the factory warranty. He was extremely honest and helpful — he even searched online for the warranty documents, printed them out for me, and advised me to take the car back to the dealership for repair. I followed his advice, brought the documents to the dealership, and the repair was completed at no cost. Auto EMS is truly honest and trustworthy.
